Induction Cookware Guide
INDUCTION COOKWARE GUIDE
You're brand new, energy saving Induction Cooktop has been installed and ready to go. Check out our induction cookware guide to see which cookware you should purchase to start you off on a new cooking adventure.
WHAT IS INDUCTION COOKWARE?
The induction cooking process uses electro-magnetism to directly heat the cookware rather than transferring heat from the element to the pan. This means your induction compatible cookware requires a ferrous-magnetic base.
INDUCTION COMPATIBLE:
Induction coils can be added to the base of all metal cookware so check the product description to see if the cookware set you prefer is induction compatible even if it is not constructed from magnetic metal.
Magnetic cookware materials
- Cast iron
- Most stainless steel (those with 13 - 18% chromium)
Non-magnetic cookware materials
- Aluminium
- Some stainless steel
- Pyrex
- Stoneware
- Copper
