Frequently asked questions

Workshops are conducted in a demonstration style to allow you to watch and learn from our presenters. We bring in professional chefs, talented cooks and bakers, and artisan food producers to demonstrate anything from fundamental skills to trendy techniques. They do all the prep and cooking, while you enjoy the food they serve up. You will also get a copy of the recipes they prepare so you can recreate them at home. Workshops are not hands-on unless otherwise specified.

In-store activities may be ticketed or free. Ticketed workshops and events require advance booking and payment for each individual wishing to attend. Activities that don’t require bookings are open to everyone to attend.

Yes, you need to pay in full online to secure a place at any paid activity.

You will receive an email confirmation after you have completed a booking online or purchased a ticket at a store as long as you provide an email address. We do not give or post physical tickets. We will protect your information in line with our privacy policy.

We understand that things come up. Just let us know seven days in advance and we are happy to provide you with a credit or transfer your booking to another class where possible. We regret that we cannot refund you if you change your mind about a booking. But we will be happy to provide you with a credit or transfer your booking to another class, where possible, if you notify us at least seven days before the scheduled activity. Please advise us of any allergies prior to booking an activity. We put a lot of effort into ensuring that you will enjoy our in-store activities and we endeavour to run them as scheduled. While we regret to reschedule or cancel an activity, we reserve the right to do so at any stage. Should a workshop be cancelled or rescheduled, we will make sure to get in touch with you as soon as possible. We will also offer you a full refund or the opportunity to transfer your booking to another activity.

We may take photos or videos of activities and use them for marketing purposes. Please let our workshop coordinator or store manager know if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
