Yaxell
Handcrafted in the heart of Seki, the Japanese capital for sword making for over 700 years, a Yaxell knife is an essential addition to every kitchen collection. Blades are individually straightened, etched and sharpened by hand, with each knife taking up to seven weeks to produce. Every Yaxell knife is a well balanced work of art; exceptionally sharp, remarkably strong and strikingly beautiful.
To this day, Yaxell entrusts only two Master Sharpeners with the responsibility of honing and sharpening every blade before it is etched, polished and cleaned, guaranteeing that every knife sold is of the highest possible quality.
Every handle is installed by hand, before being meticulously ground and polished by a technician into the perfect shape to maximise comfort in your hand.
Employing extensive quality control measures between each stage, from straightening to sharpening, polishing, etching, cleaning and packaging, Yaxell ensures every knife is of the highest standard.
