I was after a good utility knife to go along side my chef's knife (gyuto) and wanted one with the Damascus. The 12cm feels my the perfect size. The 15cm for a lot of other utility knifes seems like it'd be too long for my liking.

Precision instrument and a work of art
This paring knife is like no other I've had. At 99 g. it sits comfortably in my hand not feeling heavy or lightweight. The razor sharp blade and point, glide into the fruit and vegetables without resistance requiring no effort - like waving a baton in the air! Then to finish of, the wavy pattern of the damascus blade always captures my eye when washing it, appreciating the fine art of Japanese craftsmanship.

Yaxell 255mm Slicing Knife
Bought this knife to complete my compliment of Yaxell Knives The slicing knife is typical of all Yaxell knifes, incredibly sharp, beautifully made The knifes balance is perfect It is also nice & has a tactile feel The blade is rigid & cuts thick & thin meat & tough vegetables with ease. I totally recommend this & all other Yaxell knives. Using such sharp knives is a pleasure & also affords the user to handle with great care Thanks Yaxell

mini chef knife
Just received my knife today. Very prompt delivery service & great pricing from Kichenwarehouse . Pros: -Nice box packaging with little Yaxell instruction with multi language -Very sharp straight out the box - Beautifully machined/polised blade -Lovely Micarta handle Cons: - Balance is slightly incline to the handle than mid point Nonetheless, it's a nice grip feel - Beautiful damascus pattern but only wished it was etched darker to exhibit the layering. The actual blade is more mirror finish than what's shown on web photo. Summary: Overall, it's still a beautiful knife & the size is perfect for the smaller jobs. Definite keeper
