How to roll the perfect cinnamon scroll
-
Firstly, sprinkle a small amount of flour on a silicone mat, positioning the dough ball in the centre.
-
Roll the dough into a thin rectangular shape, using the silicone mat measurements along the outside as a guide.
-
Once the dough is nice and thin in a rectangular shape, start spreading the cinnamon filling using a silicone scraper to cover the entire surface area.
-
On the short end of the dough, start tightly rolling. A helpful trick is to use the silicone mat to help with the rolling.
-
Once the dough is tightly rolled into one long scroll, give it a slight squeeze to ensure nothing unravels.
-
Lay the scroll in the centre of the silicone mat and make three cuts to divide the dough into quarters.
-
Make two cuts in each quarter to form a total of 12 cinnamon scrolls.
-
Now the scrolls are rolled and ready for slow cooking.
