Yaxell
Handcrafted in the heart of Seki, the Japanese capital for sword making for over 700 years, a Yaxell knife is an essential addition to every kitchen collection. Blades are individually straightened, etched and sharpened by hand, with each knife taking up to seven weeks to produce. Every Yaxell knife is a well balanced work of art; exceptionally sharp, remarkably strong and strikingly beautiful.
Yaxell Zen
Each knife blade in the Zen collection features a Rockwell Hardness rating of 61 and 37 layers of forged stainless steel with a VG-10 stainless steel core, a simple Damascus pattern and a stunning hammer finish, which creates small pockets of air as you cut, preventing food from sticking to the blade.
Yaxell Taishi
Taishi knife blades feature a Rockwell Hardness rating of 61 and three layers of super stainless steel with a VG-10 stainless steel core, a hammer finish blade with a distinct Katana sword wave pattern along the blade's edge, and black beech pakkawood handles for increased stability.
Yaxell Ran Plus
Yaxell Ran Plus knives are clad with 69 layers of stainless steel on a VG-10 stainless steel core and have a Rockwell Hardness rating of 61. Strong and durable, the blades feature a stunning, intricate Damascus pattern, hand engraved etched logos on the blade and handle grip-end, and handles made from wood-like, water resistant Canvas-Micarta.
