WHAT ARE OUR WATER BOTTLES MADE FROM?

Choose from one of our dishwasher safe water bottle materials.

GLASS

Glass is a popular choice for water bottle as it is completely absorbent free and non-toxic. With a silicone or neoprene cover, glass is insulated against breakage and keeps drinks cooler for longer.

STAINLESS STEEL

Corrosion resistant, non-toxic, stable, and non-absorbent, and is suitable for both hot and cold drinks. Stainless steel provides a stable barrier for vacuum insulation which keeps drinks cold for 24 hours and hot for 12 hours.

PLASTIC

BPA free plastic is food safe, lightweight and easily transportable, especially for children. Plastic is malleable and is widely used for lids, sippers and straws.

Tritan: A more advanced form of plastic, Tritan is BPA free, odour resistant, shatter resistant, dishwasher safe and clear.

HOW DO INSULATED WATER BOTTLES WORK?

VACUUM INSULATED

Most of today’s insulated water bottles and flasks, including Thermos, are vacuum insulated which keeps your drinks hot for 12 hours and cold for 24 hours. Vacuum insulation works by eliminating heat transfer from the outside of the bottle to the inside by filling an inner wall with vacuum – that is removing the air. As there is no air in the vacuum, convection cannot occur.

FOAM INSULATION

Foam insulation works by using foam to prevent convection occurring. It is difficult for air to move in foam so heat can’t transfer from outside the bottle to inside the bottle.

RECOMMENDED RETAIL PRICE

RRP

The RRP (Recommended Retail Price) of a product is the price at which the manufacturer or wholesaler recommends that the retailer sells the product and is not necessarily the price at which it has been offered for sale in the market.
