EXCLUSIVE TO KITCHEN WAREHOUSE
Think of this as a giant garlic press - because that's what it is, essentially. With it you can take your taters and make a smooth mash or a fine puree, depending on which disc you use. You'll be able to fit one medium-sized potato or two smaller ones in it. The basket is removable, so clean up is pretty easy.
Savannah's potato ricer can also be used for other cooked vegetables, such as sweet potatoes, carrots, parsnips and turnips. It's also pretty good at squeezing the water out of blanched greens, like spinach. You can also prepare healthy baby food with it (like apple puree) or maybe fresh fruit juice from quartered oranges or lemons.

I bought this 'cheapy' potato ricer because I wanted to expand my repertoire of gluten free goodies, such as home made gnocchi, and potato scones croquettes etc which I can't buy 'off the shelf'
I am so not a 'gadget person'!
Can't see the point in saving time with chopping and dicing - if you have to them spend the same amount of time dismantling, soaking blades, (mind the cord!) wiping and then putting them together again afterwards.
I chose this model because at under $20, I wasn't too worrried that it would end up languishing in an Op Shop as a failed stuck in the back of a cupboard 'appliance' unused for years, because of the effort involved.
However this one is a Keeper! It makes quick effortless work of mashing spuds with no lumps - they come out easy as anything in a satisfying bunch of worms effect - which is fun! Where has this gadget been for the last 40 years of my domestic servitude?!! It reminds me of play doh - great fun!
After use throw the 3 basic parts into the dishwasher.................easy as (potato) pie!
In winter I will do something really creative with the root vegeies - carrot, pumpkin, parnsip and sweet potato.

What did I do without it?!
Not sure what kind of gnocchi I thought I was making before purchasing this ricer but clearly my husband was being nice about it! So simple to use and straight forward, and bonus is you can use it to make purée too which will come in handy to make baby food soon too! Great value and easy to clean.
